LEAFY

APP

USER EXPERIENCE / USER INTERFACE

concept

Leafy is an app that helps users care for their plants by providing information, reminders, and documenting functions. Users can create a personal library of the plants they own, each listed in a clean layout with the plant type and personal name.

Each plant has a profile where the user can track its progress by uploading photos into a timeline and set reminders so the plant is never neglected.

Reminders can be set to suit the user and can be split into categories including, water, sun, trim, and harvest. The users can use the plant library to explore new plants, provided with information and care instructions, and create a wish-list to later extend their plant family.

KEY FEATURES

  • Users can add plant types from the database and then give each a personal name. The plant will save in their library, from which they can view the plant profile.

  • On the profile, there is the plants care information, a progress timeline, and reminders will be shown. The progress timeline allows the user to upload photos as often as they like to document its growth. Reminders can also be set and viewed from this page, as well as through the reminders page.

  • To set reminders the page follows a similar layout to the recognisable iPhone alarm clock app, allowing the user to simply scroll to set the specific time they want.

  • An additional feature is the plant library where users can browse different plant types. when pressing the plant icon in the library, a popup shows stating the plants information and care instruction.

From here users can add the plant to their library, creating a new personalised plant profile, or add it to their wish-list, which can then be viewed on the wish-list page.
